Ganankara.lk (ගණන්කාර)

For most Sri Lankan students, maths practice still means paper books and tuition handouts. There is no online, lesson-by-lesson practice bank in Sinhala with worked answers — so when a student gets stuck at home, there is nowhere to see how the answer is reached.

Ganankara.lk is maths practice that follows the school textbook, lesson by lesson, from Grade 6 to Grade 11. Every question and answer is available in Sinhala and English, every question comes with a step-by-step answer, and the diagrams and maths are made to be easy to read on a phone.

The name is a play on words. ගණන් means sums — maths — and ගණන්කාර plays on the everyday word for someone who acts important or plays hard to get. Ganankara is for the kid who is so good at maths they can afford to show off a little.
